Richard B. Clyde (Bruce) passed away peacefully of natural causes at Kaiser Vacaville on June 13, 2015.

He was born in Logan to the late Governor George Dewey Clyde and Ora Packard Clyde.

He attended elementary, junior high, and high school in Logan as well. He then went on to earn a degree in engineering at Utah State University.

He married RoMae Crossgrove on August 1, 1951. They were married for thirty-nine years until her passing in 1990. In 1993, he married Aurea (Marie) Floria Clyde. He shared a life with her for fourteen years until her passing in 2007.

He loved to play tennis and was an avid golfer. At seventy-four, he shot his age.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, former Governor George Dewey Clyde and Ora Packard Clyde; brothers, Ned and Jerry; sister, Ruth; his wife, RoMae Crossgrove Clyde; his wife, Aurea "Marie" Floria Clyde; and his daughter, Cynthia Jane Clyde. He is survived by his daughter, Lucy; his son, Richard Jr. "Rick"; and grandchildren, Caprice, Casey, and Kayla. He also had two great-grandchildren, Elijah and Avery, and a sister, Mary Ann Clyde Christensen, as well as many nieces and nephews.

There will be a viewing held on Thursday, June 25, 2015 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley Mortuary, 1007 West South Jordan Parkway, South Jordan, followed by a graveside burial service in the Draper Cemetery.
