Actress. Best known for her role as ‘Maria Rakubain' in the film "D.O.A." In 1944, she was cast in the role of a Javanese girl in the movie "The Story of Dr. Wassell". Her big break came a year later when she signed a five-year contract with 20th Century-Fox. She starred in such movies as "Killer Shark", "Kim", "Prehistoric Women", "African Treasure", "Siren of Bagdad", "Paris Model" and "Jungle Gents" among many others. She also appeared in such television shows as "Stories of the Century", "The Adventures of Dr. Fu Manchu", "Cavalcade" and "Ben Casey". Her last major film credit was in 1963 when she played a cantina girl named Felina, in the "Ballad of a Gunfighter" with Marty Robbins, based on his 1959 hit song "El Paso." Besides being an actress, she was also a model, appearing in magazines such as Esquire and Life and in commercials for national brands such as Lux Soap.
