Chilean Revolutionary Leader. He was one of the founders of the Revolutionary Movement of Left, (MIR) party of which he was General Secretary between 1967 and 1974. During the government of Salvador Allende, this group deeply marked the experience of the social movement in Chile. With the military coup of 1973, Miguel Enríquez was the organizer of the popular resistance against the dictatorship. He died wounded for a bullet in a confrontation with agents of military security.
