Complications Fatal to Widely Known Merchant
HINTON, April 21 - Mr. John W. Butler, 48 years old, died at a local hospital Sunday afternoon of a complication of diseases. Mr. Butler was a widely known Hinton merchant, and a member of the First Baptist church.
He is survived by his widow, the former Miss Maude Goff, and two children, Mrs. Rolla Allen, of Beckley, and Jack Herbert, Hinton; his parents Mr. and Mrs. Z. R. Butler, Tophet; five sisters: Mrs. W. K. Peters, Princeton; Mrs. Vona Lane, Orchard; Mrs. W. J. Wiley, Bluefield; Mrs. Sadie Walker, Ronceverte; Mrs. M. R. Snyder, Huntington; and one brother, Edgar Butler, Hinton. Funeral services will be held Tuesday.
