Mrs. Stephen Krainik, 88, died Friday afternoon at the Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, after a short illness. Mrs. Krainik has been living with a daughter, Mrs. Walter Wiesner, 424 S. 26th St., Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, with the Rev. Allen McCaul of St. Paul Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Krainik, nee Anna Seidl, was born in the Town of Kossuth on Nov. 2, 1863. In 1884 she was married to Mr. Krainik at Francis Creek, and the couple came to Manitowoc to live. He preceded his wife in death in 1930.
Besides Mrs. Wiesner, another daughter, Mrs. Edward Ellingboe of Two Rivers, survives, along with three sons, Edward, Arthur and William Krainik, all of Manitowoc; one brother, Frank of the Town of Kossuth; three sisters, Mrs. Louis Vraney, Mrs. Frank Urban and Mrs. Charles Stransky, all of Manitowoc. Twelve grand children and nine great grandchildren also survive.
Friends may call at the funeral home after noon on Sunday.
