She was the fourth child of Clementine Hozier and Sir Winston Churchill, born only four days after the Armistace ending WWI. Nicknamed "Duckadilly" by her parents, she contracted what was reported as a cold at age two. The illness progressed quietly, however, worsening until an apparent resultant blood infection attacked her immune system. She succumbed to illness some seven weeks before her third birthday. In 2019 the Churchill family acted on a long-term desire to reunite her remains with the rest of her family in Bladon churchyard near Blenheim Palace. The now empty grave and monument will remain at Kensal Green.
