Around 1873 they moved to Connelsville, Pennsylvania. They had four children together: Ida b 1859, Effie Eleanor b 1865, Maud Spencer b 1867 and William Graham b 04 May 1871.
John passed away in Connelsville Jun 1881. By 1893 Melissa and her daughters were living in Chicago, Illinois.
