The many friends of the family will be pained to learn of the death of Mrs. Frank Winans, which occurred at Excelsior Springs, Mo., on Thursday, Feb. 13, where she had gone, accompanied by her daughters, about two weeks ago in the interest of her health. Mrs. Winans had been in poor health for the past eight months, suffering from a complication of diseases, and had gone to various health resorts in the hope of benefiting her health but to no avail. Mr. Winans was at once notified when her condition became critical, but arrived several hours after death had taken place. The remains of Mrs. Winans, accompanied by her husband and daughters arrived in the city this morning over the St. Joseph & Grand Island railroad.

Mrs. Winans was 51 years of age and for the past 26 years had resided in this city. By her kindly and pleasing manner she won for herself many friends who will extend to the bereaved family their deepest sympathy. Besides her husband, Mr. Frank Winans, employed as construction foremen for the Union Pacific, she is survived by three daughters, Mabel, Lorena and Wauneta, and one son, Boyd. One daughter, aged four months, preceded the mother in death.

Definite arrangements for the funeral have not as yet been made and announcement of the same will be made later.

Miss Julia Binderup was born at Hornayid (sic), Jutland, Denmark, on September 13, 1867, and died at Excelsior Springs, Mo., on February 13, 1919, at the age of 52 years. When only eight years of age she came to America with her parents, and located in Adams county, Nebraska. In the year 1889 she was united in marriage to Mr. Frank Winans, at Hastings, Neb.
