Monument. Located in the village of Louverval, near Doignies, France, is the World War I Cambrai Memorial. The monument honors the names of the 7,048 soldiers of the United Kingdom and South Africa, who died at the Battle of CambraI, (November 20 to December 3, 1917) and have no known graves. The memorial was dedicated by Lieutenant General Sir Louis Ridley Vaughun, on August 3, 1930.
