There is some confusion as to where this Joseph Hatch was actually born - there are records for CT per Barbour that indicate he was born in Tolland, while there are also records in Massachusetts, Town and Vital Records, 1620-1988 about this Joseph Hatch that indicates he was born in Falmouth, Barnstable, MA. Those MA records indicate he is the son of Ichabod and in view of other entries I would be inclined to agree that he was born in CT but be advised that unless someone else has more definitive documentation it is not certain where he was born - Tolland or Falmouth.
