Austrian Royalty. Count of Habsburg (as Albrecht VII) and Duke of Austria. Born the fifth child of Albrecht II and Johanna von Pfirt. After the death of his elder brothers he shared the reign over the Habsburg territories with his younger brother Leopold. With the years their relationship became more and more strained and in 1379, they signed the Treaty of Neuberg to divide the Habsburg territories between each other. After Leopolds death in the Battle of Sempach he became guardian of his minor children and reigned all the Habsburg territories alone.
