The funeral service will be Tuesday, October 27, 2009, at 12 noon CT at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY with Rev. John Batcher and Rev. Lewis Haynes the officiating clergy. Burial will be in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 3678 Greensburg RD, Campbellsville, KY.
Visitation will be at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home after 4pmCT, Monday, October 27, 2009.
A native of Adair Co., KY, she was born January 19, 1923, the daughter of the late Matthew and Cordelia Watson Overstreet and died October 25, 2009, at 4:10pm at the Grandview Nursing and Rehab in Campbellsville, KY, at the age of 86 years, 9 months, and 6 days.
She was a member of the Acton Baptist Church in Taylor Co., KY and was formerly employed by Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Arnold, in 2006, and by three brothers and eight sisters: Willie, Milford and Herbert Overstreet, Docia Bault, Lorena Corbin, Annis Yarberry, Bessie Rice, Grace Troutman, Ruby Arnold, Mary Corbin, and Estella Arnold.
Grissom-Martin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
