Josephine was known by everyone as "Jo". She was the oldest child to be brought to America to Paolo and Teresa Castelli (although they had two other children in Italy who passed away before they immigrated to the United States).
Her siblings were Louis Castelli, Mary Castelli Dodge, Paul Castelli, Peter Castelli, Alma "Dolly" Castelli, Angelo Castelli (who died at age 6 in 1918) and Ralph Castelli (who died at age 13 in 1933).
She and her husband, Louis Salotti, had one child, Rita Salotti Bissell, and three grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Her sister, Mary Castelli Dodge, was my Grandmother, making her my Great-Aunt Jo.
