Betty Jane "Jane" Thaxton, 84, of Tiffin, died Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014, at St. Francis home, Tiffin.
She was born Jan. 2, 1930, in Tiffin, to Jesse L. and Alma M. (Runion) Mathias. She married Orville Alabaugh Sr. and he died in 1974. She then married Claude Thaxton and he passed away in 2001.
Survivors include her son, Orville (Debbra) Alabaugh Jr. of Tiffin; two daughters, Linda (Doug) Reinhart and Betsy Beckley, both of Tiffin; sister, Margaret Cross of Marion; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and two on the way.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Paul, Jerry and Norval "Bub" Mathias; two sisters, Beatrice "Sis" Biller and "Matt" Kilen; and a grandson, Brad Reinhart.
