Vivian Myrtle Bradbury Miller was born to William Irving Bradbury and Eolian May Luker Bradbury. She married Milton Joseph Miller on August 15, 1935, in Yuma, Arizona. She received her Registered Nursing degree from Orange County Hospital. She helped her husband get through school by practicing as a private duty nurse. She raised her two daughters until they were teenagers and then went back to nursing, serving in the Santa Clara County Thoracic Clinic as the head nurse.
