Champion Racehorse, Broodmare. Born at the Brookmeade Stables and trained by United States Racing Hall of Fame Trainer Preston M. Burch, she became an excellent runner for long distance races. Her most memorable wins were the Delaware Handicap and the Ladies Handicap, both taking place at the Belmont Park Racetrack located in New York. The Flower Bowl Invitational Stakes was named in her honor and is held each October at Belmont Park. She was retired to the Darby Dan Farm in 1957 to become a broodmare. Three of her children became top racers. They include Bowl of Flowers, Graustrak and His Majesty. The day after giving birth to His Majesty, she began hemorrhaging and passed away after efforts to save her life proved futile. She was buried in the equine cemetery on the Darby Dan Farm.
