Ruth Seifert was an avid gardener and loved working with flowers and plants of all kinds. She loved socializing with her many friends, but spent her fondest times with her family; her husband, her two children, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will truly be missed.
Ruth is survived by her husband of 56 years, A. F. Seifert, Jr.; one daughter, Kathryn Chovanec and her husband Peter of La Grange; one son, Kevin Seifert and his wife Shelli of La Grange; along with 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three brothers, Lambert and wife, Angela Heintschel of La Grange; Milton and wife, Ann Heintschel of Fayetteville; Leon and wife, Joan Heintschel of Fayetteville; and by two sisters, Gladys and her husband, Theo Svec; and Artie Lee Schultz, all of La Grange.
Ruth Seifert was predeceased by her parents; a sister, Leara Henneke; and two brothers-in-law, Robert Lee Henneke and James Schultz.
Visitation is scheduled at Fayette Memorial Funeral Chapel in La Grange with family receiving visitors from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 7, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in La Grange with Pastor Bill Qualman officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Calvary Altar Fund.
