Mrs. Mammie Inez Badgett Johnson, 75, of Mount Airy died Tuesday July 31, 2001, at Northern Hospital of Surry County.

Mrs. Johnson was born in Surry County August 1, 1925, to the late Joseph William Badgett and Mary Eads Badgett.

She was a loving wife and mother, a homemaker and member of Piney Grove Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Mildred Johnson, and a brother, Floyd Badgett.

Surviving are her husband, Grady James Johnson of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Myra Lee and James Guilliams of Ohio, Jametta and James Lineberry of Pilot Mountain; two sons and daughters-in-law, James Monroe and Sandra Boyd Johnson of Mount Airy, Earnie Ray and Vicki Haynes Johnson of Mount Airy; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Anna Branch of Dobson; two brothers, Ivan Badgett of Dobson and Ira Seldon Badgett of Elkton, Md.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Davis & Son Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Davis and Son Funeral Home in Dobson Thursday evening from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m.
