Beatrice Cloyd, 90, of Iola, KS formerly of Eureka, KS, died Thursday, November 12, 1998, at Countryside Estates in Iola, KS.
She was born Aug 23, 1908, in Piedmont, KS, the daughter of George Audrian and Lillian B. (Fox) Fudge. She was raised in the Piedmont community and attended schools there.
She married Alva Cloyd and the couple resided in the Severy, KS area for several years before moving to Eureka, KS. Cloyd worked as a cook at area resturants and the Greenwood County Hospital.
Cloyd was a member of the Christian Church of Eureka. He husband preceded her in death on Feb 12, 1969.
Survivors include three daughters Dorothy Zornes of Iola, KS, Fern Hopkins of Greensboro, NC, and Thelma Stroup of Benson, Ariz.; one sister Ardith Faye Long of Vernon, Texas; 11 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son Elzy Cloyd, three brothers and a grandson.
Graveside services and interment were held November 16, at the Greenwood Cemetery in Eureka, KS with Rev. Alan Hunter, pastor of the Jefferson street baptist church of Eureka officiating.
Services were under the direction of the Campbell-Kelley Funeral home in Eureka, KS
