Also surviving are 4 children (Mrs Helen Marie McConahay, Orrville, Ohio; Edwin David, Denver, Col; Beulah Mae and Howard Leroy, both at home), one grandchild, his stepmother (Mrs Fanny Kropf Zook), one sister (Clara - Mrs Adam Mumaw), one brother (John E Zook), one half sister (Mary Elizabeth - Mrs Arthur Amstutz), and a large number of other relatives and friends.
An infant daughter (Esther Irene) predeceased him on Oct 18, 1927.
On April 26, 1914, he confessed Christ as his Saviour and was received by baptism into the Oak Grove congregation, near Smithville, Ohio. He continued his interest and membership in the that church during the rest of his life, although his illness did not permit him to attend services.
Funeral services were held at the Oak Grove Church Nov. 9 by V M Gerig and J S Gerig.
