From the Rome (NY) Citizen dated 9/27/1895: "Ridge Mills -Isidor Heilig of Chicago, aged about 30, formerly of Rome, died Sunday. Deceased was a son of Michael Heilig of this place. He left Rome about ten years ago and settled in Colorado, afterward removing to Chicago. He leaves a wife and two children. Other survivors besides his father are six brothers, Charles of Rome, Peter of Michigan, Frank, James and Lewis of Ridge Mills, Edward of Niagara Falls and two sisters, Mrs. Fannie Mutter of Gardenville, N. Y., and Mrs. Anna Harrington of Rochester."
From the Utica Weekly Herald dated 10/1/1895: "Rome and Near -- Isidor Heilig, who died in Chicago on Sept. 22, aged 30, formerly lived in Rome. The deceased was a son of Michael Heilig of Ridge Mills. He went west ten years ago. Besides his father he leaves six brothers."
