With her husband William Potter already here in America, Janet came to America on the SS California with her 3 year old daughter, Jean Yule Potter. They arrived 12 Sep 1912 through Ellis Island, N.Y. She was a woman of small/short stature. She had alot of the Bible memorized. She worked at Floors Castle in the Scottish Border's and she loved to dance the Highland Fling. She would always re-do her hair and put on make-up right before William got home from work. I wish she didn't pass on her daughter's birthday, my Grandmother, Helen Georgina. She was laid to rest in a beautiful light blue nightgown and robe. Janet's father was; John Blythe born abt 1858 in Ettrick, Selkirkshire, Scotland. Her mother; Jean/Jane Valance Yule born abt 1853 in Kirkhill, Berwickshire, Scotland.(There is no marker in place as of Sep 2012.)
