Renowned Motocross Racer. One of the finest riders from Sweden. He worked during the 1950s and 60s as a factory rider for Monark, a large Swedish bicycle and motorcycle manufacturer, responsible also for construction and development. Ove was World Champion three times (1958/61/62) as a member of the Swedish Motocross Team and was three times the National Motocross Champion (1955/58/60). He also competed with great success in many other events, such as Trial, Enduro, TT and Snow Scooter races. It began at the age of fifteen when he performed at Swedish circuses where he rode the Walls of Death, on an old Indian motorcycle. During the late 1960s and early 1970s Ove was a highly regarded coach of young Swedish motorcycle talents, based at Anneberg Motocross Track outside Varberg on the Swedish west coast. From the mid 1970s to the early 1980s he worked in Manaus in Brazil to develop a Monark moped for that country, before returning to Sweden. In 1984 he started racing again, on classic racing bikes, taking part in many National and International Veteran Events and again winning many prizes.
