Mrs. Ovid J. Shatraw of Merrill died at the Physicians Hospital, Plattsburgh, late Sunday at the age of 63.
Mrs. Shatraw was born Gertrude F. LaBombard. She was born in Burke on June 13, 1898, a daughter of Ephirian and Delia (Primeau) LaBombard. She was married to Ovid J. Shatraw at Burke on June 26, 1918. They moved to Merrill 34 years ago.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her mother and six children. They are Mrs. Adrian (Joyce) Baker of Merrill, Mrs. Wilroy (Carol) Peets of Dannemora, Mrs. Albert (Virgina) LaDuke of Standish, Armand of Merrill, Wayne of Constable and Raymond Shatraw of Dannemora; and one brother, Bordon Bombard of Malone.
The body is at the Shatraw home in Merrill. Funeral services are scheduled Wednesday at St. Bernard's Church, Lyon Mountain. Burial will be in St. George's Cemetery, Burke.
