Long Prominent as an Amateur Yachtsman and Automobilist

Albert C. Bostwick died yesterday morning at the home of his mother, 800 Fifth avenue. His own residence was at 801 Fifth avenue, adjoining. Mr. Bostwick was well known to automobiles and yachtsmen and was one of the first in this country to use high speed automobile engines in a motor boat.
At one time he was commodore of the Larchmont Yacht Club. He had been a member of the New York Yacht Club since 1899. Mr Bostwick's father was Jabez Abel Bostwick, who was a leader in the formation of the Standard Oil. In 1866 he married Helen C. Ford and their family consisted of three children, Albert Bostwick, and two daughters.
Albert Bostwiek was the owner of the Limited, a 46 foot steam yacht, and the Vergemere, a 315 foot auxiliary schooner.
He was a member of the firm of Walter C. Stokes & Co. of 66 Broadway, and a director of the Manhattan Life Insurance Company.
He was a member of the Automobile Cub of America, the New York Athletic Club, the Metropolitan, the Union League, the New York Riding and Driving, the Apawamis and the Knollwood clubs.
He leaves a widow, who was Marie L. Stokes.
