John LOVE-KOREA-died 11 May 1956. One Shelby man is dead after a traffic accident that occurred outside of Port Clinton. Dead is JOHN LOVE, 27. of 121 and a half Broadway, Shelby, who was killed when the car he was in was hit by a train near Port Clinton. Injured in the same accident as his son-in-law, Joe Sheridan, 4 Grove Avenue, Shelby. They were in a car that was hit by a train at 11:57 last night near Port Clinton. Mr. Love was killed instantly. Mr. Sheridan is in serious condition in the hospital at Port Clinton. Mr. Love was an employee of the Westinghouse as a tool and dye maker. He was born in North Chicago, Illinois September 8, 1928. He was a veteran and had served in the Korean campaign. He is survived by his wife Bertha V.; three children Jeffery 4, Susan 3, and Joel one year; by his father, Robert Love of Mansfield; two half brothers Robert Love Jr. and Richard, both of Mansfield. He was a member of the Most Pure Heart of Mary Church of Shelby. State Highway patrolmen said the men were in a car driven by Sheridan, 59, that was hit by a New York Central train at a county road grade crossing near the Sandusky Bay Bridge.
