CHICAGO- Shelby native, Charles W. Sheridan, 65, of 5101 W. Wellington, Chicago, Ill., died Thursday in a hospital after a brief illness.

Born Sept. 3, 1919 in Shelby, he was the son of Joseph and Rose (Riedy) Sheridan. He retired from Aero Plating Co. in 1982.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Shirley (Kalb) Sheridan, two sons, William of McHenry, Ill. and Don at home; two grandchildren; two brothers, Robert of Shelby; and Donald of Long Beach, Cal.; and seven sisters, Mrs. James (Helen) Thompson, Mrs. Roger (M. Catheine) Adam, Mrs. Thomas (Berdie) Lambert, Mrs. Rebel (Lucy) Cornett, all of Shelby, Martha White of Mansfield, Mrs. James (Delores) Pyles of Ashland and Barbara Gillingham of Belleville, Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. Burial was in charge of Smith Funeral Home, Cicero Ave., Chicago.
