Maxine Opal Harris, age 84, of Sulphur, La., died Friday, October 12, 2012, at Landmark Of Lake Charles in Lake Charles, La. Mrs. Harris was a faithful member of First Pentecostal Church of Sulphur. She loved the Lord and her church. She was a kind and friendly lady that lived her life by example. She also enjoyed riding 4-wheelers, sewing, fishing and her pets. She was a great cook. Her family loved her homemade biscuits.

She was the daughter of the Joseph Evans and Mamie Hughes Evans.

She is survived by her Two Daughters and One Son-in-law; Four Sons and One Daughter-in-law; Two Sisters and One Brother-in-law; One Brother; Eleven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 45 years Edgar Harris and one brother James Evans

Funeral service were at the Christensen Funeral Home Tuesday, October 16, 2012. Rev. David Boyd officiated. Interment followed at DeQuincy Memorial Park in DeQuincy, La.

Services were under Christensen Funeral Home, DeQuincy, La.
