Preceding him in death were his father, Milton, and his first wife, Laura Corrigan George. He was survived by his wife of 21 years, Susan (Leverich) George; his mother, Lyla George, of Oskaloosa, Kansas; his children, Chris, Janet, Erin and her husband Brandon, Jill and her husband Josh; his stepchildren, Mollie, Katie, Andy and his wife Kristi, and Amy and her husband Joseph; grandchildren, McKenna, Drew, Abigail, Benjamin and Jonah; his brothers, Bob George of Perry, Kansas, Jim George of Oskaloosa, Kansas, and Frank George of Gardner, Kansas.
Visitation was held on Thursday evening at the Cathedral of St. Peter in Kansas City, Kansas, with the praying of the Rosary later that night. The Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday morning at the Cathedral. Burial followed in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements by Skradski Funeral Home in Kansas City, Kansas.
