Josephine E. Rook 83, Indianapolis, died March 31, 2009. She was born in Randolph County, IN on May 25, 1925 to the late Cecil and Eva (Manes) Mincer. She was the widow of Gaynall D. Rook. Josephine was an executive secretary at the Fort Benjamin Harrison Finance Center. She retired in 1983. Her memberships included the Indianapolis Scrabble Club and the Shadeland Baptist Church. Survivors include her brother, Andy Mincer of Leesburg, FL; sister, Iris Eisenhour of Union City; good friend, Maurice Curtis; four grandchildren; ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Mincer; grandson, David Rook and her infant daughter, Nancy Lynn. Funeral services will be held at the Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens on Thursday, April 2, at 2 p.m. with visitation starting at Noon prior to service.
