Army Spc. Clemens was assigned to the C Co., 1-293rd Infantry, Ft. Wayne, Indiana. His unit was responsible for the force protection of Camp Arifjan. Clemens died as a result of a High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle rollover. Brian helped raise his younger sister, helped novice wrestlers learn the ropes, helped his teachers with computer programs and was also a Mountain Man for his high school cheerleading team. He was an Eagle Scout and would volunteer with the local Boy Scout troop. He was the kind of kid who wanted to make a difference. Brian joined the military to earn money to pay for college and was enjoying his overseas mission with the National Guard. He had hoped to enroll at Purdue University to study engineering.

NOTE: A few local Boy Scouts have honored Brian by building a rest area along the Nickel Plate Trail, near Peru, Indiana in his name where visitors can stop and enjoy a moment of peace and quiet. It is named the Brian Clemens Memorial Rest Stop located just off of Wallick Road and overlooks the Little Pipe Creek that flows nearby.Spc 4 US Army
