Joey Michael Seidelman, age 66, of Aurora, IL died Sunday, October 21, 2012 at Provena Mercy Center Hospital in Aurora, IL. He was born July 4, 1946 at Copley Hospital, Aurora, IL, the son of the late August and Dorothy (nee Van Etten) Seidelman. Joey served his country honorably during Vietnam Conflict with the US Navy. He was a very active lifetime member of the Tri-County Viet Now. He was a member of St Joseph Catholic Church in Aurora, IL.
Joey is survived by his wife of 46 wonderful years, Barbara Jean (nee Thomas); daughter, Lisa (Kevin) Jobe of Lake Wales, FL; a son, Joey (Patricia) Seidelman of Aurora, IL; eleven grandchildren, six (with two on the way) great-grandchildren; sister, Susan (Charles) Feltes of Osseo, WI; a brother, James Seidelman of Hollywood, CA; brother-in-law, John (Nancy) Thomas of Chicago, IL; also several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, John Seidelman. Visitation will be on Friday, October 26, 2012 from 4:00 PM until the funeral service at 7:00 PM at the DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY 1801 South Douglas Road Oswego, IL. Military honors will be given after the funeral service at the funeral home. Cremation was accorded the wish of the family.
Memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association in Joey's memory.
