George W. Carson, an aged veteran of the late war and a well known citizen died Wednesday morning, January 30, at his home about two miles east of Boonsboro, of brain trouble, aged 71 years, 9 months and 22 days.
Mr. Carson was twice married, and is survived by a wife and eleven children, as follows: John, George, Mrs. Maggie Diggs, Mrs. Kate Fuller, in Rathbone, Col.; Mrs. Ella Overcash, Chambersburg, Pa.; Mrs. Hettie Kephart, Boonsboro; Mrs. May Jones, Bolivar; Misses Laura, Addie, Emma and Otho, at home.
He was a member of the U.B. church.

Funeral Friday morning at 10 o'clock; interment in the Boonsboro cemetery.
