He was 6' 0.75" tall, light complexion, brown eyes, and brown hair. Born in Coshocton Co., OH, employed as a carpenter, single, resident of S. Whitley, in Whitley Co., IN. Discharged for disease Jul. 4, 1862 in Murfreesboro, TN with rank of Private. Notes: In General Hospital in New Albany, IN, Apr. 17, 1862, for disease of spine and retained there on duty. Also listed as sent to St. Louis, MO, Hospital from Pittsburg Landing, TN, on steamer Empress Jun. 1862. Listed in New Albany Hospital #6 on Nov. 6 and Nov. 19, 1862. Listed as gain from desertion Jun. 22, 1863. He filed Invalid Pension Application to receive Pension Certificate #239309 May 17, 1880. Died Feb. 5, 1900; buried in Oak Woods Cemetery, Sec.
