GREENE, HASSELL B. - age 92, of Alcoa, passed away Tuesday morning, February 16, 1999 at the home of a daughter. Member of Jehovah's Witnesses since April 10, 1943. Born on December 12, 1906 in Townsend, TN to George Washington Brickey and Martha Ellen "Babe" Walker Brickey. Preceded in death by husband, Isaac Wesley Greene, youngest daughter, Martha Jean Keller Sparks; five sisters, Florence Sullivan, Emaline Greene, Nancy Sullivan, Susan Mehaffey and Naomi Henry; three brothers, William M. Brickey, John Brickey and George W. Brickey, III; grandchildren, Robert Cable, Danny Charles O'Neal and Gary F. Keller, Jr. Survivors: daughters and sons-in-law, Anna Lou and John O'Neal of Rockford, Madge Cable, Margaret Sullivan, Evelyn G. Maltman, Norma Lee Greene, Ruth G. and Floyd Hundley, all of Maryville; son, Jack Greene of Nashville; 23 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Graveside service and interment 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 19, 1999 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Rev. Larry Toney officiating. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
