Caroline Salyerds Buckles, 98, died Friday, Aug. 5, following a long illness.
She was born in Akron, Ohio, and moved to Flagler County. She moved to San Mateo and returned to Flagler County in 1970. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Clarence Buckles. She is survived by three sons, Victor Buckles and Gordon Buckles, both of Bunnell, and Oliver Buckles of Moncks Corner, S.C.; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
