Edna I. Brown age 93, formerly of 379 S. Ellis Ave., Peshtigo, Wisconsin, died on Tuesday, January 14, 2003 at Whispering Oaks Care Center. She was born on September 18, 1909 daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Frank (Hilda Pogrant) Pankratz.
On June 4, 1932 she married Carl William Brown in Menominee, MI. He preceded her in death on May 10, 1973.
Edna was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Zion Ladies Aid and the Peshtigo Senior Citizens Center. She was an avid gardener and accomplished seamstress.
Edna is survived by one son Dennis ( Kathy) Brown, Wisconsin Rapids, WI;
one daughter Darlene (Joe) Plump, Peshtigo, WI;
one sister Marcella DesJarlais, Peshtigo, WI.
Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by an infant brother Raymond and one grandson Michael Plump.
Visitation will be on Thursday, January 16, at Berth & Rosenthal Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at 11:30 a.m. Rev. David Zahn will be officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Peshtigo.
