Leon Rush Staggs was the first twin son (still)born to Harriet Cornelia Leola "Leo" Basinger Staggs and James Rush Staggs on 21 July 1924 in Sarepta, Webster Parish, Louisiana. Leo died just hours after delivering Leon Rush and the surviving second twin son, Leo Riley "Sonny". She was only 16 years old.

Note about dates on headstone: Has 22 July 1925 on headstone, but death certificate has 21 July 1924.

Uncle Leon God took you right after you was born and He always takes the best. Guess other babies in Heaven needed some new additions and some day we will see you. You was daddy twin and I am sure was a beautiful baby like daddy. God Bless you, Shirley
