ADAMS, HORACE R. 68 - took his final curtain call on November 5, 2013, to join the mighty Choral Ensemble in Heaven. Horace was born on February 18, 1945, to the late Clara B. Adams and Horace Adams, Sr. In his youth, Horace joined Community Baptist Church and became a member of the Four Kings singing group under the tutelage of Charles Swaringen. Horace sang with many local groups where he showcased his superior falsetto tenor vocals, which eventually lead to a recording session in New York City. Horace loved Oldies and Doo Wop music. He also enjoyed dancing, watching western movies, telling a good joke, solving jumble puzzles and playing a good game of pinochle. Horace was an avid sports fan, proudly wearing his sport memorabilia for his favorite Philadelphia teams, the 76ers and Eagles. Horace loved his family and close friends but liked everyone that he met. Horace was employed with IBM at NAFEC and several casinos in Atlantic City during his employment history and retired from Bally's Casino. Horace graduated from Atlantic City High School with the class of 1965.

Horace was predeceased by: his parents; sister, Frances Quince; and brother, Robert Edmonds.

Horace will be cherished in memory by his sisters, Clara Adams (caregiver) and Charlotte Byard; nieces, Twanda Wallace, Sherri Warner (Butch) and Chanita Quince; nephews, James Adams (caregiver), Michael Byard, Robert Wallace(Gwen) and Keith Byard; cousin, Dorothy Landing; special friend, Ornesta Brown and many loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 11 AM, Wednesday, November 13, 2013, Greenidge Funeral Home, 301 Absecon Boulevard, Atlantic City, where friends may call from 9 AM. Interment to follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Pleasantville. Condolences may be left at www.greenidge funeralhomes.com
