Monica Mary Louise Amman died peacefully on Dec. 27, 2002 at Exeter Healthcare in her 89th year.

Born June 6,1914 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, she was the daughter of Harold and Gladys (Dearlove) Edwards.

Monica and her late husband, Dr William C. Amman, were longtime residents of the Seacoast and Hampton Beach.

Monica was a woman of gracious style and adventurous spirit, who embraced the world and lived well. Many were touched by her generosity and kind nature.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sister, Marguerite Fleming of Calgary, Alberta and her brother, Bernard Edwards of Victoria, B.C. and numerous nieces and nephews in Canada and South Africa.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brothers

Gerald Edwards in 1994 and Jack Edwards in 1998.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 98 Summer St., Portsmouth, on Wednesday Jan. 8 at 10 a.m. Friends invited. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Portsmouth. Arrangements are by the Farrell Funeral Home, 684 State St. Portsmouth, NH 03801. Phone: 436-5418.
