Elenor Jean Watson Anderson , 90, who resided in NJ (formerly of Morgantown, WV) died recently.

She was born in Masontown, WV, a daughter of the late Carl H. and Daisy M. Sidwell Watson. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family which included two brothers and 2 sisters.

She was a 1941 graduate of Masontown High School in Masontown, WV.

Jean retired after working 19 years at the Beaumont Glass Factory in the finishing department. She also worked at Fairchild Air Craft in Hagerstown , MD, for 2 years during World War II.

She loved researching her and her husband's genealogy. Her 3rd great grand parents, William and Jane Patton Watson, were some of the earliest settlers in Preston County in 1790. They had to spend 2 years in Coburn and Kearns Fort in Morgantown because of an Indian uprising.

She is survived by two daughters and their spouses, Sandra and Norbert Novocin of MD, and Judy and Larry Lipke of NJ, two granddaughters and their spouses, Tracy, and Rob Barnes of NC, Niki and Carl Eastley of MD, and one grandson, David Lipke and his wife Sarah of MA, and two great grand children, Cole and Megan Eastley. She also has one surviving sister-in-law Alene Lloyd of Westover, WV, and four step grandchildren: Norbert Novocin Jr. and his wife Marie, Danny Novocin and his wife Kathy, Douglas Novocin and his wife Mary, and Anne Novocin Wilson and her husband Doug.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Anderson, her brothers Donald E. Watson and Ronald C. Watson; her sisters Edna Mae Watson Cline and Winifred J. Funk.

Graveside service will be at 11 am on Monday, Oct. 21 in Masontown Cemetery with Pastor Michael Atkinson officiating. Hastings Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Masontown Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 336, Masontown, WV 26542.
