Lois "Jeannie" Altig, 72, of Greenview, passed away Saturday, May 20, 2017, at Memorial Medical Center.
Lois was born Nov. 10, 1944 in Springfield, the daughter of the late Al and Helen (Tippet) Power. Jeannie married Robert Altig in 1961; they shared 56 years together.
Jeannie was a mail carrier for 28 years. Outside of working she enjoyed visiting bazaars and different festivals, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Jeannie is survived by her loving husband Robert Altig; her children, Tony (Susie) Altig, Kevin Altig and Janice (Troy) Whitley; five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; her siblings: Virginia Lynch, Ronald Power and Terry Power as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jeannie was also preceded in death by her siblings, Larry Power, Karen Jewel and Judy Power.
