Nancy L. Appel, 68, of Streator, passed away at 3:35 a.m. Friday, Aug. 12, at her residence in Streator.
She was born March 19, 1943, in Streator, the daughter of Bernard and Susan (Dzurisin) Leonard.
She married Robert C. Appel on Feb. 12, 1966, at St. Stephen's Church.
She is survived by her husband of Streator; sisters, Norma (George) Majerchin of Streator and Mary Ann (Robert) Preuss of Streator; and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She attended St. Stephen's Grade School and graduated from Streator High School, class of 1961.
She worked through the years at various businesses including Lipton Tea, Thatcher's Glass Manufacturing, Silica Sand, Clow Corporation, La Salle Nuclear Plant and Streator Brick.
She was a lifetime member of St. Stephen's Church and currently belonged to St. Michael the Archangel Church.
Nancy was a very family-orientated person and will be dearly missed by her loving family.
