Wife of the late Cecil V. Allen of Kenner. Daughter of the late Ernest Guichet, Sr. and Aline Fournier Guichet, of Raceland, LA.
She was preceded in death by her six brothers, Pierre, Ernest Jr., Everett, Lee, Morris, and Harvey Guichet; three sisters, Anita G. Hebert, Louise G. Blanchard, and Lena G. Plessala, her daughter Marilyn A. Holle and two brothers-in-laws, Victor and Willard Allen. She is survived by one daughter Mildred A. Ducombes and husband Bob, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and her sister-in-law, Joy DeFee.
She was a graduate of the Hotel Dieu School of Nursing and was employed by the Louisiana Health Department and veterans Hospital in Shreveport.
She was a kind, compassionate and loving daughter, sister, step-mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and aunt to many nieces and nephews. She will be missed but never forgotten by all who knew her.
Visitation will begin Thursday, March 17, a St. Stephens Catholic Church from 10:00 a.m. until mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will immediately follow at Berwick Cemetery Mausoleum.
