Lulu was a loving and dedicated daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, who never met a stranger and would do all she could to help someone in need. She had a magnetic smile and personality that naturally drew others in. She was also a strong person, never giving up, even when facing her toughest trials, should would simply say, "I got this!" She was so dedicated in doing her part to help find a cure that she would sign up for promising, but still experimental therapies, saying that even if it didn't help her, the doctors were still learning something and it may help others in the future. The world is a little less bright without her smile in it, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Survivors include her mother, Ann Johnson Higgins Olds; one brother, Vernon "Bubba" Higgins and his companion Darlene Toups; one nephew, Richard "Joey" Higgins and his wife Angel Delcambre Higgins; two nieces, Danielle Persilver Verret and her husband Travis Verret and Sherry Marie Higgins and her fiancé Cody Pinell; and five great nieces, McKayla Higgins, McKenna Higgins, Emmy and Gracie Verret, and Camille Pinell.
