Alice May (Potts) Abbott of Edgewater Park passed away into God's loving and eternal care Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014, at Capital Health Hospital in Trenton. She was 67.

Born in Trenton, she was raised in Florence, and lived in Texas and Florida before moving to Edgewater Park ten years ago.

Alice was a homemaker but in her earlier years worked as a financing and accounting supervisor for Civil Service, stationed at Fort Dix.

She was an animal lover and enjoyed doing crossword and other puzzles as well as crocheting.

Daughter of the late Edward and Thelma (Foulks) Potts, and mother of the late Daniel Abbott, she is survived by her husband of 38 years, Gerald 'Jerry' Abbott and her five children, Diana Brownback (Scott), Lori Butler (Jason), Dean Benti (Lisa), Robert Benti, Gerald Abbott Jr. (Heidi Harper); a sister, G'Nell Turner (Norwood), and two brothers, Ronald Potts (LuAnn) and Timothy Potts (G'Nell); eleven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

The funeral will be held 11 a.m., Friday, at the Dennison Funeral Home, 214 W. Front St., Florence. Relatives and friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday evening, and again from 10 to 11 a.m., Friday, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Burlington.
