Eva Dean Borden, age 86, of Tuscumbia, died Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013.
Visitation will be Wednesday, 1-2 p.m., at Harris Chapel Baptist Church. Her funeral service will follow in the church sanctuary with Morris Kennedy and R. C. Scott officiating. Burial will be in Harris Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Borden was a Colbert County native and a member of Mhoontown Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Doris E. Borden; son, Mark Dwayne Borden; her parents, Richard and Annie Jarnigan Sanderson; four brothers; and two sisters.
She is survived by her sons, Marshall Borden (Kathy) and Dwight Borden (Rhonda); brother, Charles Ray Sanderson; sister, Jean Askew; grandchildren, Amy Lindsey, Matthew Borden, Kayla Peacock, and Micah Borden; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Our mother will be remembered for her loving and giving spirit.
Pallbearers are Micah Borden, Matt Borden, Danny Hendrix, Don Sanderson, Terry Turberville and Allen Handley.
The family expresses special thanks to her loving care givers for the last fourteen months, Jean Askew, Carol Bush, her daughter, Jackie, and Gentiva Hospice.
