Arthur H. Berryman, 85, of Cherokee, died Monday, Dec. 28, 2009.

Visitation will be noon-2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2009, at Morrison Funeral Home, Cherokee. His funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Brother Morris Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow in Harris Chapel Cemetery.

Mr. Berryman was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cherokee. He was a 60-year member of Local No. 760, a 32nd-degree Mason and a Shriner. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served during World War II. He was retired from Reynolds Metals as a pipefitter foreman.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Raedean Tanner Berryman; son, Royce Allen Berryman; daughters, Rebecca Ann Watkins (Herman) and Beverly Bodkin (Bart); sister, Mildred Daniels; grandchildren, Kellie Drew Poss, Kerrie Ann Bass, Sarah Rebecca Sparks, Anna Elise Glover; and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Edwin Kasmeier, David Donaldson, Andy Albright, Jimmy Morgan, Mike Hellums and Neil Keeton.

PaPa was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
