Don Alexander

Don Alexander, 80, loving husband, father, grandfather, of Albion, PA, moved on to his Heavenly Home on Tuesday morning, February 21, 2012.
He was born April 17, 1931 in Lisbon, OH, son of the late Charles and Bertha (Barnes) Alexander. Don retired from the Rochester Area School District as a Guidance Counselor. Don became a Christian when he was a teenager and has served the Lord ever since. He was a member of the Albion Church of the Nazarene, where he was very active. He loved singing, woodworking and helping people. Don was a very caring, loving and compassionate man.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Martha Alexander, whom he married August 5, 1960; four children, Mark E. Alexander and his wife, Debbie, Daniel L. Alexander and his wife, Nicole, all of Beaver Falls, PA, Carrie C. Anderson and her husband, Tracy, of Carlisle, OH, and Brenna R. Alexander of Albion. Also surviving are six grandchildren.
Friends may call at MATTERA FUNERAL HOME, Albion, PA, today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Further calling hours will be held on Friday at the Albion Church of the Nazarene from 10 a.m. until the time of a funeral service at the church at 11 a.m. with Rev. Wayne Hennen officiating.
Burial will be in Albion Cemetery.
