Doris Jane Athey, 55, of Williamstown, passed away Feb. 24, 2013, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Marietta on Aug. 30, 1957, the daughter of Doris Jeanette Lightfritz and the late Charles Edward Lightfritz.
In addition to her mother, Doris is survived by her husband, Richard L. Athey; daughter, Christiene C. Athey of Williamstown; three sisters, Meliene, Lillian and Tabitha, and three brothers, Charles, Joseph and Nathan, all of the Marietta area; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre. Burial will be at Burnt Hill Cemetery. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Wednesday and for one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
